Jack-Up Concrete & Lightweight Floating Floors – Flyefit Gym Tallaght, Dublin

Flyefit Gym Tallaght, Dublin

Mason UK were pleased to work closely with Lovebuild on the installation of both a sprung jack-up concrete floating floor, and dry floating floor systems at the new Flyefit gym in Tallaght, Dublin.

Lovebuild Construction carried out the installation of both floating for system with Mason UK providing the design, products and supervising the works. A sprung concrete jack-up floating floor has been installed in the Olympic weights area of the gym. This system includes our FS coil spring castings within the concrete floor, providing the absorption of low frequency impact vibration.

The Olympic zone is surrounded by the free weights area. This meant that a permanent steel shuttering was required to separate the two floating floors.

The free weights zone was covered by a dry floating floor utilising our EAFM 8823 LDS rubber mounts and layers of board and paving slabs to gain adequate mass. This system was specified to absorb the general vibration from dropping of lighter weights and usage of free weights equipment. See photos of the construction below.

It was a great opportunity to work with Lovebuild on another project, and we look forward to working with them in the future.
